Open Day 2009
This year's Open Day will take place on Saturday 21st November 2009. All welcome especially 5th and 6th year students, mature students and guidance counsellors. Booking is not required.

The Department of Education and Science has confirmed that there will be an intake into the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Primary) in 2010.

In 2008/09, students wtih appropriate FETAC Level 5 qualifications (ECHSX, ELESX, ELAXX) with distinctions in 5 modules, may be admitted on a competitive basis to the first year of the BA degree. For further information on the BA programme, click here.
Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary Teaching) (2010/11) (Competition now closed) St Patrick’s College will be starting a Graduate Diploma in Education course in February 2010 which will finish in June 2011. The course is offered on a full time basis only. This course will enable third level graduates to qualify as primary teachers. Application pack for the Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary Teaching) are now available from the Admissions Office, St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, Dublin 9. Application pack can be obtained from the Admissions Office by emailing your name and postal address to either admissions.office@spd.dcu.ie or courseinfo@spd.dcu.ie or by sending a post card. We will acknowledge your email. It will be posted out to you immediately. If you have not received your application pack by Friday 11th December 2009 please contact us immediately. Meanwhile we suggest you have your supporting documents certified and in order and a current passport photo ready to accompany your application form. Closing date for receipt of completed application forms is no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday 16th December 2009. The Dublin Centre will be taking 140 students on to this course (St Patrick's College - 60 students; Coláiste Mhuire - 50 students; Froebel College - 30 students).
Entry requirements and Procedure for February 2010 : (this section will be updated by Thursday 26th November '09) Eligible applicants will be required to undergo an interview and oral Irish Test. Qualified applicants will be placed in order of merit determined by the results of the Interview and oral Irish test.
Closing date for receipt of completed application forms is no later than Wednesday 5 p.m. on 16th December 2009 by post only. Course content can be viewed here. Closing dates for receipt of applications are 30th April and 15th November annually Masters in Religious Education (Primary)

Mature Applicants Applicants who wish to be considered for a place on mature grounds should apply directly to the College. B.Ed. Mature and BA Mature application forms are now available from the Admissions Office or may be downloaded below. If you wish to receive these documents by post, please email us at the Admissions Office with your name and postal address. The closing date for receipt of completed application form and relevant documentation is 9th April 2010. Mature applicants may also apply through the CAO, but CAO applicants will be assessed on points only.
